This kit comes with three sets of ear plugs and then a bonus set or aluminum container to carry them in. Mine came with the free set. I was really hoping that this set would work well for me but unfortunately it has not met my expectations.  I Bought this set thinking that it would be nice to wear ear plugs instead of a double-muffed headset for lawn work and carpentry projects in the garage.  Especially this time of year when it is getting cold a headset is cold on my ears and face. I also was going to give these a try while sleeping to cut down in listening to snoring and a baby crying.

Unfortunately I can hear that they do make a difference but no enough to warrant wearing them while sleeping and definitely not to protect my hearing while performing my chores and doing my hobbies. I have tried them in my cubical office as well and can still hear people outside the office talking in the hall at a normal volume.  I have not tried the moldable swimming ear plugs yet since the instructions say they should only be good for three uses.

I do have to say that they are comfortable to wear and don’t put pressure on my ears like others do but that also may be the reason why they do not seem as effective either. So if I was to rate these ease of use, being comfortable and protecting my hearing I would have to give them a 2 out of 5 stars. the reason for this is because the ease of use and being comfortable are necessary (one point each) but the biggest factor is how they function. If I don’t know what after reading others reviews of these being sold other places on Amazon that they say these work well. I am not new to using ear plugs so I don’t think it is user error.

YOME Soldering Iron Kit

First of all I have to say I love this kits and it comes at a great price. I am replacing my old heavy soldering gun with this kit.

The soldering iron itself is much like others in shape and size but has an on/off switch and temperature gauge to better control. I also like the silicone handle that makes it easy to hold and control. It has a total of 6 tips for various sizes of work. I mainly use mine for building or repairing HAM radio antennas. With a warm-up time of roughly one minute it is easy to change the tips fairly quickly I feel the need. I also appreciate that this kit comes with a stand that to hold the iron while it is on but is collapsible so it stores nicely in the kit.

The other big feature of this kit is the digital multimeter. It does vay more than I know how to do right now. From testing resistance, transistors, and buzzers to measuring DC and AC voltage and currents. This same type of multimeter is very hard to find because it has the EBCE area. I don’t know what it means just that most meters don’t have this feature.  I usually need just the alarm feature which tells me if my wires have continuity from one end to the other. It uses a standard 9v battery which is included in the kit and it only take one screw to remove the door to put the battery in.

This kits has all the necessities you need to get the job done from the wire cutter/stripper, extra wire for your project, tweezers sold wire in a handy tube, a desoldering vacuum pen and an 8 bit magnetic screwdriver along with a nice leather zip around case with elastic straps to keep everything in its place.

This is the perfect kit iw was looking for and it caving me from having to dig through things to find the correct tools and supplies when I have project to be done.

If was to buy all these items separately it would cost around $60-$80. The soldering iron and multimeter alone cost more than the whole kit. 5 starts for a great product at a very affordable price.

Shimonfly Hiking Waist Pack

This waist pack is a great size for a day hike or short outings. It carries a full size water bottle and has a few pockets for key, change and snacks. I actually am thinking about using it with my HAM radio. This way I have easier access to it while moving around but still have it out of the way when I don’t need to be handling it. 

The waist pack is light weight and seems easy to keep clean. It has a few reflective ribbons on it which helps add to the safety of the wearer when it is dark. The whole back side of it is a semi firm foam pad with holes it so that it is breathable. The waist strap is gets small enough that I can comfortably wear it (size 30 waist) since both sides have the sliding loops that keep the extra strap length out of the way so it is not hanging down which is a common problem I have with other bags.

This bag also comes with a 18 inch by 9 inch tube of cloth that can can be used in many configurations of bandana wear. I look at this as more of a perk or add-on more than part of the packaged deal since some of the configurations like th fairbad is way too bulky to actually do in my opinion. Also as a bonus you get a free e-book about "Filled with fitness basics, tips for packing efficiently and traveling on a budget, and info on family camping, you will return home from your travels with great adventure stories." i did not download this because they want you to sign up to receive it through email. I don't like signing up for these kinds of things and would much more prefer just being able to access is as a download with out having to give my information.

If you are carrying this bag behind you it will be hard to just put a water bottle back into its spot without having to move the bag to the front to put it in. In my opinion if you are using the the cord around the top of the bottle then carrying it behind you really doesn't work anyways if you want frequent access to it. If a change was to be made to this bag I think that the bottle holder should be more firm and that this bag should come with a water bottle that fits snugly inside. This would get rid of the need for the cord around the top and allow the bottle to access and replaced easily while wearing it behind you. I realize that making this change is exchanging convenience to the lightweight that it is so this could be why it is made the way it is.

Over all great compact product. 5 stars!

Power Strip Build in Travel Adapter with 2 USB Ports

This is a great extension cord plug and is pretty ideal for traveling. The extension cord part may be a turn off to some but when you think about it actually is a great idea. Not all hotels have outlets on the desk or night stand so a cord to get to the plug is useful. This actually can except for standard plugs from the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Europe and China. The only catch is that the plug going into the wall is a standard US 3-prong plug so a travel adaptor would be needed in these other countries for that but that would be it. This power strip also adapts to the different power outputs so everything is taken care of.

It is also handy because it has two USB outlets on it and a power button to turn it all off together.

The construction of the cord seems to be heavy duty and well made. I like to mount mine behind my computer desk with the cord going straight down so that I can utilize all 4 outlets at a time and plug my USB’s in at the top and use the power button.

The packaging indicates that this model is updated from the last one with features including being able to supply 2500 watts at a time along with the long more durable power cord and flame retardant alloy housing material. It also has a smart matching feature where is adapts to different power output currents according to different mobile phones and devices.

I give this product a 5 star rating since there is no improvements to be made.
