Riwbox™ A9 FM Bluetooth Transmitter Radio Car Kit

This FM Bluetooth Transmitter is exactly what my older car needed to help modernize it and allow me to use all my devices in it.

First of all it allows me to now play music from bluetooth enable devices as well as connect the headphone jack of a device to the AUX port on the right side of it. It works well with my iPod Touch as well as with my phone.

One of the best features of this is the ability to seamlessly go from the transmitter to the included ear piece just by picking up the ear piece and turning it on. This cancels out the FM transmitter and you can now listen in your ear. This is really handy when talking on the phone and running errands. No more sitting in the car until the conversation is over or having to hold your phone while you talk. This was a very well throughout feature.

I also like the digital display that not only shows what FM frequency you need to tune to but also what your car battery charge is. I have never seen a device do that before so I was impressed. I also really like that there is a power button to tun off the power so it does not drain the battery.

Like most bluetooth ear pieces I have used there is a slight delay between the audio and video when watching YouTube. It also takes some getting used to the way the multiswitches work since every maker of these does it a little different.

Overall this is a great product. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.

This tool is exactly what I have been needing for a few projects I have been doing lately. The ability to set it up on an existing project that is needing duplicated spacing or angles is a breeze with this. I would show you pictures of this being done but all I would be doing is duplicating the same pictures that are already here.

One example of a projects I have been having trouble with is building a base for my table saw. I had 4 lengths of wood that I wanted 45 degree cuts on so that they all matched up to make square frame. This this tool I can now wet the angle with a protractor and then just make my measurements and using the tool draw the angles on the board. Quick and simple.

This angle-izer fit all 3 and 4 sided shapes & angles quickly & easily as long as it is no more than 10 inches or 25 cm. Measures both inches & centimeters
I love that this tool is able to fold down when not in use.

Some want to complain that it is plastic. Why are you complaining if it is plastic? The description says it is so there is no use making them down on it because you want it in metal.

Can’t get enough of these Car USB plugs. It seems like there is an increasing amount of electronics that charge through a USB connections. I have many and don’t like to move these chargers from one vehicle to another. I have 3 so it becomes a pain sometimes. Another pain is the fact that until now I would only charge or run two devices at a time. This plug now lets me do three in my car since this is dual port.

It has an intelligent device recognition and power management IC so it detects the power needs of each device and gives it what it needs while still providing protection against too much current, voltage load, heat and short circuiting.

Another feature that is really nice is the fact that the outer ring lights up to let you know that there is power running to it. Its small size also allows me to store it in my change tray when I am not wanting it plugged in.

Great product. Built well. Easy to use. 5 out of 5 stars.

Portable Water Filter Bag #survivalhax

The Portable Water filter bag stands up to almost all the claims it makes on its product listing. The one I found that was not completely true was that the filter wouldn’t screw onto the water bottle that I was using.

Having said that I really love this filtration bad. It hold 16 oz of water so it is easy to track your consumption. I rolls flat for easy packing after the filter parts are removed. One of the great things about it is that it will filter 300 gallons or 1,000 liters. For those of us that need help with the math that means you can filter 2,400 bags worth of water. The filter is made of a medical hollow-fiber UF membrane. I am not really sure what that means but there are a lot of scientific studies on it so it must me good.

One of the other nice features of this is that all the parts separate from each other for a good cleaning when the need arises. You still need to keep in mind that the filter should be shaken and blown out to remove as much water from it so it can dry thoroughly between uses.

This is a very easy compact system to use with camping and hiking and great for bug out bags or emergencies. The flow rate is 600ml/min so it is not really fast for large quantities but good enough for personal use.

This system also comes with a flint and steel for your fire starting needs.

This was an interesting concept that I had not really thought about until I saw it. Normally I am looking for a mess kit that has a pot, pan, cup utensils and all packed together. For now this is perfect though. When I go on Scout campouts with my son we will have all that we need since all the cooking is done for the group and we don’t have to do it individually.

The care case keeps our kits together and easy to identify. The zipper keeps the cover closed while not in use so that our kit stays clean. The materials seem to be very durable as well so this simple kit should last a long time. The silverware is a normal size and the bowls are smaller than a cereal bowl but that is the give and take of this set. The size of the bowls actually works out well for portion control-something my son has not concept of.

I love the double-walled bowls for their ability to not get nearly as hot as its contents. To test this I got burning hot water from the tap and filled them up. I could feel enough heat to think the contents might be hot but nothing close to thinking about burning my hand as I held it. The set is very shiny and well weighted. You can cut with the fork and it is no different than using one from the kitchen-no broken forks in the middle of your camp food for you. The spoons are of equally good quality.

This set gets a 5 out of 5 because it performs to expectations and is very accurately described.

Big Ant Car Windshield Sun Shade and Two Side Window SunShade

This sunshade is definitely a whole lot better than other ones I have had. First of all the quality is much better. Others have been very thin almost most foam fabric feeling that is white on one side and reflective on the other and rips and is not very durable. This one is made up of reflective bubbles on both sides, is thicker and a whole lot more durable. These features allow for the heat to be reflected back out while reflecting your air conditioned interior of your vehicle to keeping it cooler on the inside.

I love the design overall especially the dip in the top where the rearview mirror should be this allows the top edge to be a lot closer to the top of the windshield and give better coverage. I also like the strong suction cups that hold it securely to the window. Although it says that it has a Universal fit which means “Will fit all SUV, Trucks Vans & Cars” you need to realize that a car windshield is smaller than a minivan and thus definitely smaller than a large van or truck. So really I am saying that it can’t really fit all sizes of vehicles since they are all different widths but it still does a whole lot better job than not using it at all. (See pictures for size examples)

When not in use this shade also folds down accordion style and the packaging sleeve it came in makes for a great way to store it.

I will give this a 4 out of 5 stars because it is durable does its job and well made. The only improvement that could be looked at is truly making it more universally fitting by adding a few more panels to it that could be folded back for the shorter width vehicles and would fully extend for the big trucks and vans.

Another great book in the series., June 6, 2017

I love these books because they take what may be a boring lesson for some and turns it into entertainment that can hold your attention for the most part to the end. My 2nd and 5th Grader both said that they thought I had too many words but the overall liked the pictures and all the definitions. Speaking of which, my 7th grader is one that would go right to the definition section and read all of them and then later go back and read the book.

This book series in general would make a great section in a classroom library where these topics or periods are discussed. It is a great resource for a child doing a report on this topic.

Not only did my package come with the book but is also came with a children’s guide to cultures around the world (coloring activity book) and crayons and a pencil as a personal touch from the author.

I am happy to add this to my collection off books and give it 4 out of 5 stars based on my kids opinions.

AOMEES Disco Party Strobe DJ Club Magic Lights Show

This is a pretty cool disco/party light. It has red, green and blue LED’s inside that can be used individually or as many different combinations. You also have the choice of having the combinations steady or moved around with the gyro inside. It also has three setting for a lightshow that dances to the music. This is my favorite feature. All of these choices are don with the small remote control that it comes with. The biggest difference between this one and a similar one that I have is the fact that you can change the pace of the flashing.

 This light is a smaller light that comes with a pivoting mount so you can hanging it from a DJ light bar or screw it to a wall or ceiling. One thing to note that if it is in the middle of a ceiling you will need a power extension cord because the cord is only about 3.5 feet long.

 This light is really fun for the kids to play with and gets them dancing when we turn on the beats and let the light respond to it. We love having multiple ones in our living room to make the light show even more exciting. This would also be great in some kids’ rooms or college dorms.

The only issue that I have with it is that you have to be pretty close to the unit for the remote to work. If you want to stand next to it and set it and forget it than their isn’t much problem but it you are wanting to have a lot of control or change in the show then you may find this troublesome.

 I rate this 4 out of 5 stars.
