This cable (and review) is short and simple. This cable works right out of the package. This cable works right out of the package. All you have to do is unplug the power cable from the Chromecast and plug this in. Then plug the other end into the USB port. You now are powering your ChromeCast with one less cable to the power outlet.
 Overall this cable is well made with the braided rope around the cable which makes it a lot more durable of a cord. One thing to consider is the distance between the ChromeCast and the USB port. The pictures are very accurate in showing that this cable is only 8 inches long.
