Christian Strong T Shirt

I love this unique t-shirt that Christian Strong has. 100% cotton is very easy to wear and wash because they are soft, comfortable, and well made. The printing on them is bold (not faded) and looks like it will last a long time. I love the message that my t-shirt has “Jesus Strong. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13” Christian Strong has a wide variety of other inspiring messages on t-shirts, long sleeves shirts, hoodies to name a few. They have apparel for men, women, children and a special Christian Baby line as well. I am not a fan of the crosses that are on some of their products because I choose to focus more on Christ’s resurrection than his death (which is what the cross symbolizes) but other Christians believe differently. I think their products sell for an average price for so I think that that is fair.

This multi-use product is great!

I got this pack because I was looking for a way to charge my phone from a battery backup. This is not the main feature of the product but is what first god me interested in looking at it. The more I looked at it the more I became interested and realized the many possibilities that it would provide.

Check out the difference the high powered lights make when shooting in low or no light situations. If makes a huge difference that cannot be beat by the lights on the phones itself. This is the main purpose of the pack, to be a high powered light for both Android and iPhone. This light can be used as a handheld illuminator or as an attached video and photo light with your phone. Pairing the FirePak with the Surefire phone case allows both to clip together as one unit. The high powered LEDs are controlled by the slider switch on the side of the unit and allows you to light your pictures as videos with light between 100 and 1,500 lumens. (100, 300, 600 and 1,500). If you use the bluetooth app you can get an even more precious amount of light and not be held to these four settings. The light on the highest setting is enough to blind you so don’t point it directly at others up close.

Another great feature is the fact that  is is a phone charge or battery backup. The side has a rubber cover that when opened reveals two ports. One is a micro USB and the other is a normal USB. This allows for the unit itself to be charge from eith port and use the other to charge another device. You know that the unit is charging by looking at the indicator on the front below and to the right of the LEDs. IF it is green you are charging or have a good charge on FirePak. If it is red it needs to be charged. The slider switch used to select the light output uses the first setting to illuminate the indicator light. The power can also be monitored from the bluetooth app as well.

And last but certainly not least that FirePak is made of a high impact polymer which makes it very durable for many years of use in all kinds of situations. It can be used when walking in dark spaces for personal security like blinding someone temporarily or as a flashing signal to get other people's attention. Since it lights up to 50 feet away i am sure it is seen much much further than that. I also intend on using it for emergency preparedness either as a light or as my battery backup for other devices.

I give this product an easy 5 star rating because of its many features and way outdoing my original expectations.

These Trek Proof adventure towels come with a nice mesh bag. I've been enjoying using it as my main bath towel this past few weeks. The bag is made so that you take both towels lay them out flat together folding them into halves and quarters and then rolling them together.

This microfiber towel acts like most microfiber towels do. It’s kind of thin so I was a little skeptical at first but even using it as a main bath towel it does a good job at drying you off and because it's so thin it dries pretty quickly as well. I got my haircut the other day and was using this towel is a little disappointed. I thought the microfibers would have pulled more of the hair off of me than it did but most towels don't do a good job of that anyways so I can't really fault it. It wasn't made for removing hair cut hair so that's just one test that I kind of did while I had that opportunity.

Another thing I want to point out is that it's not that big so you're not going to use this towel as a cover-up like getting out of the shower and trying to cover up and stay modest. I’m 5’-8.5”, 125-130 lbs. and my waist is 28 or 30 inches. I tried wrapping it around one day and it almost looked like I was wearing a miniskirt. It did almost go down to my knees but there was barely enough length for overlapping and tuck it in so I wouldn't suggest thinking that you're going to use it to cover up if you're going from shower or somewhere else where you don't have anything else on and want to be modest. It'll do the job if you need to but don't rely on it for that.

I give this this towel five out of five because of its good water wicking qualities, its good fast drying, and also because it comes with a nice carry bag and it's fairly compact.

I really enjoyed using this product and will continue to use it.

Marigold 12" Professional Titanium Rotary Paper Trimmer Cutter (TR410)

I have been needing to replace my current paper trimmer for a while now and this seems to do the trick very well. It is similar to my other one which also had the rotary blade that slides along the rail to keep the cuts straight and neat. The trimmer on the box says that is can cut through 8 sheets of 80GSM paper or online it says it can cut through 10 sheets of 20lb paper. I don’t usually cut that much at once since I still have not found a way to keep all my pages straight while stacked and usually I am just cutting one or two sheets at a time.

Some of the pros to this cutter are that the board is marked with multiple measurements for common sized cuts although most of them are in metric rather than inches for the USA. This is not so say that inches are not on there it is just not a prominent and slightly confusing until you realize which marks are which measurement. To be fair these are from a company based in Australia so they use metric which is the reason it is more prominently marked. Another pro is that the board has raised edges much like many others that allow you to get your papers straight on at least on side. Another pro I like on this cutter is the fact that it has a plastic guide so that you cannot put too much paper under the cutter at once.

Depending on what you like the size of the bard may be a pro or a con. My last board would hold paper bigger than a standard 8.5x11. This one is only about 6.25 inches wide but will still hold a 13 inch paper.

The best most beneficial selling point is the fact that the blade is completely covers except where it actually cuts the paper. This is great because it keeps you fingers from getting. This feature alone helps it stand out from most if not all its competitors. See the pictures for to see what I mean.

See video on Amazon.com  This air jet LED turbo powered chrome showerhead is a great replacement for the old one that had brittle rubber jets. I choose this one for the nice simple look and the the jet options. It is sturdy and well made overall. As an added bonus I thought it would be cool to have the changing colored lights. This feature is powered by the running water so there are no batteries to mess with.

Although the showerhead works great and cuts down on water consumption I am disappointed with the main feature that sets it aside from its competitors. The lights rotate in color like described and shown by the pictures but the lights are not near as bright as shown. I was led to believe that these lights would light up the shower to create a cool or calming experience. If I was to turn my back to the showerhead I would never notice any difference and only a little difference with the lights out in my small bathroom.

This showerhead is great for those that want to do the replacement themselves. All you have to do ir unscrew the old showerhead and then hand tighten this one on. The rubber gasket seals it from leaking so you don’t need to use any of the white plumbers tape.

Overall I give this product 4 stars. It does its job well but the selling point for me is the lightshow which is dimmer than the pictures. See the attached video and picture for more detail.

See video on Amazon.com  I have done reviews on other bike lights as well as flashlights but this one has a few feature that really stands out from the rest. The three areas that I always consider first are usage time, brightness and durability.

Usage Time: The Night Provision BX-960 uses a 18650 rechargeable battery that is charged by a USB cable. It seems everything these days is going to a USB cable but that is not what makes it stands out What makes it stand out is the fact is the battery itself. The battery is removeable and replaceable. A quick search online will find you 2 extras plus a charger for them for around $10. This means not only are you going to get any where from 2 hours in high mode to 14 hours of use in the low mode but you can pack a few extra charged batteries to keep you going as long as you need. Another point to make on this topic is that the included battery is rated at 2300mAh (the included manual says it is 2600mAh). I would think this would mean if you get the 6000mAh replacement batteries then one of those batteries would run for at least 4 hours each on high since they are twice the milli amps of the included battery. Another great feature of this light is the fact that it warns you with a color code in the indicator light what your current battery life is. There's nothing worse than not knowing the status of your battery while depending on it for light.

Brightness: The Night Provision BX-960 uses a XM-L2 T6 LED instead of a bulb. Many lights like this are going to these LED’s because they are much more long lasting than conventional bulbs. Because I am so interested in the technical qualities I did some reserch and found out that the XM-L2 T6 LED is the brightest and best in its class. They did not go cheap.

Durability: This also needs to be a strong factor of consideration if you are a trail rider or mountain biker. This flashlight seems like it will take quite a beating and may come out of a hard crash with nothing more than a scratch. The case itself seems to weigh less than the battery but is very durable. IF anything will fail on this it will be the handlebar mount which is all made of plastic. The mount is great and I love the knob on the back that ratchets the holder to just the right diameter.

Cycle Torch Night Owl USB Rechargeable Bike Light #mycycletorch

I took some picture to like they did on their website to show the distance that these light can be seen. Both the headlight and tail light can be seem from at least 500 away in their high or constant state. The taillight which runs off of 2 CR2032 button batteries lasts up to 50 hours. The headlight is rechargeable and will last anywhere from 2-40 depending on what mode it is used with. The recharging is done by an included USB cable which allows you to charge it in the same way you would change any of your other devices.

I need to mention that this headlight has a charging indicator that I have not seem on other lights. If I press the button for 3 second and then release it will flash the light for every 10% of batter life remaining. For instance mine just flashed 8 times so it still has 80% battery life which means that I used it for about 24 minutes since I have only used it on high. Reading though the manual online it warns that:

“It is strongly recommended to recharge Night Owl 200 when there is less than 20% load (see: check the battery charge level). Do not wait until the light goes completely out as this will greatly reduce the number of charge cycles that the battery can be used and can render the battery unusable. Charge your bike light each 2-3 months when stored or not in use to prevent battery degradation.” 

This is important to note because I am used to running a light almost dead and then putting in new batteries. Since this is rechargeable I don’t have the option of carrying batteries for replacement.

One of the other features that I really like is the rubber bands to are used to strap the light onto the bike. They have incidental sections to that it fits multiple sizes of handle bars or seat posts. I the web site days that the headlight can also be mounted on a helmet with additional hardware not provide in the original package. What makes this set up really nice for me is it is a breeze to move the lights from one bike to another or to remove them while be bike is parked in a public area.

Overall the dimensions are small and they are light weight but don’t be fooled. This set is very bright and much better than others that I have had. Cycle Torch has done a great job at providing a great products at a very affordable prices. Not to mention that the 365-days returns completely free warranty registration page on their website literally has only 6 fields to fill in to cover the product.
