I have been needing to
replace my current paper trimmer for a while now and this seems to do the trick
very well. It is similar to my other one which also had the rotary blade that
slides along the rail to keep the cuts straight and neat. The trimmer on the
box says that is can cut through 8 sheets of 80GSM paper or online it says it
can cut through 10 sheets of 20lb paper. I don’t usually cut that much at once
since I still have not found a way to keep all my pages straight while stacked
and usually I am just cutting one or two sheets at a time.
Some of the pros to this
cutter are that the board is marked with multiple measurements for common sized
cuts although most of them are in metric rather than inches for the USA. This
is not so say that inches are not on there it is just not a prominent and
slightly confusing until you realize which marks are which measurement. To be
fair these are from a company based in Australia so they use metric which is
the reason it is more prominently marked. Another pro is that the board has
raised edges much like many others that allow you to get your papers straight
on at least on side. Another pro I like on this cutter is the fact that it has
a plastic guide so that you cannot put too much paper under the cutter at once.
Depending on what you like
the size of the bard may be a pro or a con. My last board would hold paper
bigger than a standard 8.5x11. This one is only about 6.25 inches wide but will
still hold a 13 inch paper.
4 stars for a good product.
